Embracing Self-Compassion
Maybe you’re thinking…
But, if I’m too compassionate I’ll just sit around and eat donuts & watch TV.
Self-Compassion is: Not about over-indulging and feeling good in the moment.
It’s about long-term well-being and your health…physically & spiritually.
Compassion Practice: Find out if the result is really in your best interest, long-term.
There’s a difference between being kind to yourself and having a pity-party and over-indulging.
It’s not compassionate to eat a dozen donuts and sit on the couch all day watching TV.
It might feel good in the moment, but do you like the long-term results of those actions?
Acknowledge that you are suffering and ask yourself what you REALLY need?
What compassionate response will support you in the moment and in the long-term?
