Lent 2022 - Week 6 Sunday

Week 6 – Palm Sunday
Self-Compassion IN ACTION

This week we’re going to continue our self-compassion journey, with the specific focus of putting it into action.

Let’s first reflect on what we did last week.
What was your experience of embracing self-compassion?
After doing last week’s work, what shifts or realizations have you had?

In the Christian tradition, today is Palm Sunday, the first day of Holy Week.
The palm branch is a symbol of victory, triumph, peace and eternal life.
Think of self-compassion as the road to victory and triumph over self-criticism and self-doubt.

When you think about putting self-compassion into action in your life…
What do you desire to get out of this week’s work?
Set your intentions.
Journal on it as much as you desire to do so…pen to paper.

If The Spirit moves you…share in the comments.

It does take work to break the self-criticizing habits of a lifetime, but at the end of the day, you are only being asked to relax, allow life to be as it is, and open your heart to yourself. It’s easier than you might think, and it could change your life.
